Madison Park

Located in east central Seattle, Madison Park is nestled between the luscious greens at the Washington Park Arboretum (University of Washington Botanical Gardens) and the rippling blue waters of Lake Washington. Spend the day walking around the Arboretum’s Japanese gardens with its signature koi ponds, weaving throughout the vast landscape. Spend a day on Madison Park’s beach (bonus points if you can find the secret beach), and stay for dinner and drinks in the local restaurants that line East Madison Street. Most everything you need is within walking distance, and yet it’s easy to hop on the car and get to neighboring Madrona or Leschi for other goodies. When you’re in Madison Park, it feels like you’re not in the city at all but in a cozy oasis of water and greenery.
